FAQ

Questions about car rental and airport transfers

Does a quote cost anything?

No. Requesting quotes is free and there is no commitment. We may earn a commission from the supplier or charge a service fee; either way, the total you pay is in the quote before you agree.

How fast will you reply?

Usually within 2 hours during the day; requests sent late at night are answered in the morning. We try to reply faster for airport and same-day trips. In a hurry? Message us on WhatsApp.

How do I pay, and who do I pay?

You pay the supplier named in your confirmed quote, unless the quote says otherwise, and the way it states: cash to the driver or office, InstaPay, mobile wallet, card or bank transfer. Don't pay anyone any other way, and if in doubt, check with us on our official number.

What do I need to drive myself?

A valid licence and national ID for Egyptians, or, for visitors, a passport, your home licence and an international driving permit. Offices usually ask for a minimum age of 21–25 and a refundable deposit. The exact terms are in your quote.

Can I change or cancel?

Yes, under the supplier's terms, which are written in your quote before you confirm. Tell us as early as you can and we will arrange it.

Which cities do you cover?

Egypt's main cities and resorts: Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, the North Coast and El Alamein, Ain Sokhna, Hurghada, El Gouna, Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, Marsa Alam, Luxor and Aswan. Not listed? Ask us.

Which airports do you cover?

Cairo International (CAI), Sphinx (SPX), Borg El Arab in Alexandria (HBE), El Alamein (DBB), Hurghada (HRG), Sharm El-Sheikh (SSH), Marsa Alam (RMF), Luxor (LXR) and Aswan (ASW). Pick-ups and drop-offs to hotels, homes and other cities.

How does an airport pick-up work?

Add your flight number to the request. We pass it to the driver so pick-up can be adjusted for delays, and they meet you at the arrivals exit. The price and details such as waiting time are written in your quote before you confirm.

Can I hire a car with a driver for a full day?

Yes, by the hour, by the day or for several days, in any city we cover. What is included (fuel, hours and road tolls) is written in your quote.

Can you arrange vans and minibuses for groups?

Yes. Through our suppliers we can arrange vans for 7–14 passengers, and minibuses and coaches for 15–50, for events, staff transport and group airport transfers.

Who actually provides the service?

An independent rental office or transport company we choose with you, named in your quote. We are the broker who arranges and follows up, and if anything goes wrong, tell us and we'll follow it up with the supplier until it's resolved.

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Third Mobility ("Third", "we") is a mobility brokerage based in Cairo, Egypt. We decide how and why the personal data described here is used (we are its "controller"). Contact: info@third-mobility.com.

2. Data we collect

When you send a request we collect what you enter: name, mobile number, email if you give it, trip details (places, dates, times, passengers, bags, flight number), vehicle preference, company name for business requests, and notes. We do not ask for card numbers, passport or national ID numbers through this website. We also receive whether your number uses WhatsApp, the language you used, and a record that you accepted the Terms and read this Privacy Policy.

When we use analytics and you accept its cookies, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity also collect how you use the site: pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, device and browser type, approximate location (country or city, from your IP address) and recordings of how pages are used. Anything you type in the quote form is never recorded. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

We use your request details to prepare quotes, share them with suppliers so they can quote, contact you, arrange the service and keep records: this is necessary to take the steps you ask for before a contract and to perform it. If you give your email address, we may email you a copy of your request (one message, not marketing). We keep records and prevent fraud and misuse based on our legitimate interests and legal obligations.

We use analytics only with your consent, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can withdraw that consent at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

4. Who receives your data

Suppliers (rental offices and transport companies) receive only the details needed to quote for or deliver your request. Our service providers are: Cloudflare (hosting, security and email delivery, and, where enabled, the Turnstile anti-abuse check) or, if used, Resend (email delivery); Microsoft (Outlook email and, if you accept analytics, Clarity); Yahoo (email); Google (Analytics, if you accept); and WhatsApp/Meta when we message each other there. Google and Microsoft may also use analytics data under their own terms, as explained in the links below. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. International transfers

Some providers process data outside Egypt (including in the EU and the US). We transfer data abroad only as Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its Executive Regulations allow and, where they apply, the GDPR and UK GDPR, relying on the safeguards the law requires, on the transfer being necessary for your request, or on your consent.

6. How long we keep it

We keep request data (in our email inboxes and WhatsApp chats) for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires longer (for example accounting records), then delete or anonymise it. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months; Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days and other analytics data for up to 13 months. Your cookie choice is kept for 12 months.

7. Your rights

You may ask to know what data we hold about you, get a copy, correct or update it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing info@third-mobility.com. Analytics consent can also be withdrawn with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. We reply without undue delay and within the time the law requires. You may also complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Centre or, if you are in the UK or EU, to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to the people who need it. No online service is completely secure, so please do not send passwords, card numbers or ID documents through the form or by email. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Centre and you within the deadlines the law sets.

9. Children

Our services are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Marketing and automated decisions

We use your details to answer your request. We will not send you marketing messages unless you agree separately, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.

11. Changes and language

We may update this policy and will show the date of the latest version below. It is published in Arabic and English; if they differ, the Arabic version prevails.

Terms of Service

1. Our role

Third is an intermediary: we pass your request to independent car rental offices, transfer companies and fleet operators ("Suppliers") and send you their quotes. We do not own or operate vehicles, employ drivers, or provide transport or tourism services ourselves. The rental or transport contract is between you and the Supplier, who is responsible for the vehicle, the driver, insurance, the licences and permits its service requires, and delivering the service.

2. Requests and bookings

A request through this website is an enquiry, not a booking. A booking exists only when the Supplier, directly or through us, confirms it in writing (email or WhatsApp). Prices and availability are valid for the period stated in the quote. Vehicle illustrations and example models are indicative: the Supplier provides the vehicle confirmed in your quote or a similar one.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over. To rent a car you need a valid driving licence (and an international driving permit where required). Suppliers may set their own rules on age, deposits and licences.

4. Prices and payment

Requesting quotes is free and without commitment. Third may receive a commission from Suppliers or charge a service fee; any service fee is included in the quoted total. Every quote shows the total price you will pay, in Egyptian pounds (EGP) unless agreed otherwise, including all applicable taxes and fees, and states whether fuel, deposits and extras are included.

Pay only through the methods stated in your confirmed quote (for example cash, InstaPay, mobile wallet, card or bank transfer), and check payment details with us on our official WhatsApp number (+20 10 3600 0669) or email. We will never ask for passwords, card details or verification (OTP) codes.

5. Changes and cancellation

Change and cancellation conditions are set by the Supplier and stated in your quote before you confirm. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Egypt's Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018.

6. Your responsibilities

Give accurate information, use vehicles lawfully and as the Supplier instructs, and bear fines, tolls and damage as set out in the Supplier's contract.

7. Liability

Suppliers are responsible for the vehicles, drivers and services they provide. We are responsible for our own service: passing on your request accurately and giving you correct information. We will help you raise and follow up any complaint with the Supplier. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or your rights as a consumer.

8. Using the website

Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access or submit false requests. The content, logo and design belong to Third and may not be copied without permission.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Egyptian law and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

10. Complaints and contact

Write to info@third-mobility.com with your reference number. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 working days. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you can contact Egypt's Consumer Protection Agency (hotline 19588).

11. Changes and language

We may update these terms. The version published on the website when you send your request applies to it. They are published in Arabic and English; if they differ, the Arabic version prevails.

1. What they are

Cookies and similar storage save small pieces of data on your device so a website can remember choices or measure how it is used.

2. Essential (always on)

These are needed for the site to work and do not need your consent. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, may also set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm, 30 minutes) to protect the site from bots.

3. Analytics (only if you accept)

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They load only after you choose "Accept". We do not use them for advertising and we switch off their advertising features. Anything you type in the quote form is hidden from Clarity recordings.

4. Other third parties

If enabled, the Cloudflare Turnstile security check loads only when you reach the last step of the quote form, and is used solely to block automated abuse. Links to WhatsApp open a service run by Meta under its own policy. This site loads no third-party fonts or advertising.

5. Your choices

You can accept or reject analytics in the banner, and change or withdraw your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page; withdrawing stops analytics straight away and deletes its cookies on this site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we change what we use.
